Johnson Asiedu Nketia has been elected the new chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the party’s 10th national delegates conference in Accra on Saturday.[ads2]
The astute politician accumulated 5,569 votes to defeat the incumbent Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo who was seeking for a second term in office.
Before winning the national chairman position, Johnson Asiedu Nketia was the General Secretary for the NDC – a position he has occupied for the past seventeen years.[ads3]
He is expected to lead the NDC to win power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections.[ads4]
