Minister for Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku has advised Ghanaian celebrities to make prudential savings before dying as a pauper.
According to the Minister, it’s a good step that the industry players, like in any other profession, make a judicious saving at the peak of their apex of their careers.
The Member of Parliament for Evalue Gwira Constituency believes this would make them self-sufficient and not depend on others including government for support in times of need.
In an interview with the media during the funeral rites of the legendary musician C.K. Mann in Takoradi, the former DeVry University student continued that there are ups and downs in every profession but how to tackle it depends on the individual.
“In every career, there are ups and downs. But it is not the responsibility of anybody to either make your life well or not. It is the planning of the sector that makes or unmake”, she said.
