The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has for the past five years funded 2,450 artisans nationwide for the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Proficiency examinations.
This was disclosed by the Executive-Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr Dominic Eduah at their end of year media soiree in Takoradi on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
According to him, 400 of the artisans have been equipped with start-up tools to commence their artisanal journeys while the remaining artisans have been scheduled to receive their start-up tools in 2023.

He emphasized that these artisans were from rural and peri urban communities in the Western, Western North, Central, Eastern, Greater Accra and Ashanti regions.
Dr Eduah added; “GNPC Foundation is exactly five years since it was established in Takoradi. A lot of activities have been lined up to commemorate this anniversary and all of you, being partners, will be duly informed and invited to be part of our success story.”

“Let me announce that the Board of Trustees of the foundation have given clearance for the local scholarships portal to be opened next year for eligible needy but brilliant students to apply. I think this announcement will bring to finality the numerous questions most parents have been asking staff and management of the foundation at any given opportunity.”[ads3]
Dr Eduah, however assured that measures have been put in place to ensure that next year most on-going projects such as classroom blocks, boreholes, astro turfs, dormitories and sanitary facilities will be completed and handed over for use by the beneficiaries.
