The National Democratic Congress (NDC) have made changes to their leadership in Parliament with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson taking over as the new minority leader.[ads2]
The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam lawmaker has replaced Tamale South MP, Haruna Iddrisu who was occupying the position.
This was contained in a statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Fiifi Kwetey, and dated January 23, 2023.[ads3]
Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah, the MP for Ellembelle in the Western region has been named the deputy minority leader, replacing Ketu North legislator James Avedzi Klutse.
Asawase lawmaker, Muntaka Mubarak, who was the Minority Whip, has been replaced by Adaklu MP, Kwame Agbodza.[ads4]
However, Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Comfort Doyo Ghansah who is the MP for Ada have maintained their positions as first and second deputy minority whip.
The new leadership have been charged to recommend consequential changes in the ranking membership to the party’s headquarters for approval.
