The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western region have congratulated Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah on his appointment as the deputy minority leader of the party in Parliament.[ads2]
The Ellembelle MP has replaced Ketu North legislator, James Avedzi Klutse as the deputy leader of the party in Parliament.
This was contained in a statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Fiifi Kwetey, and dated January 23, 2023.
In a statement, the NDC in the Western region believes Armah Kofi Buah deserves the new position handed to him by the leadership of the party because he has grown to become a stalwart politician in the region and the political space in the country.
“Since his giant killing feat in 2008, when he beat the then incumbent MP Hon. Freddy Blay, that ushered him into Parliament for the first time, he has grown to become a stalwart in the region, Parliament and the political space in our dear country”, part of the statement reads.[ads3]
Meanwhile, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson who happens to be the MP of Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam has been appointed the new Minority leader, replacing Tamale South MP, Haruna Iddrisu who was occupying the position.
Asawase lawmaker, Muntaka Mubarak, who was the Minority Whip, has been replaced by Adaklu MP, Kwame Agbodza.
However, Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Comfort Doyo Ghansah who is the MP for Ada have maintained their positions as first and second deputy minority whip.

WESTERN REGION NDC CONGRATULATE HON. EMMANUEL ARMAH KOFI BUAH ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS THE DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER.
The rank and file of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Western Region have received the news of the elevation of our hardworking member of Parliament and leader of the Parliamentary caucus in the region to the position of Deputy Minority Leader with huge excitement.
Since his giant killing feat in 2008, when he beat the then incumbent MP Hon. Freddy Blay, that ushered him into Parliament for the first time, he has grown to become a stalwart in the region, Parliament and the political space in our dear country.[ads4]
His sterling qualities of humility, respect for all, selflessness and hardwork have enabled him serve his constituents, Western region, Parliament and Ghana remarkably.
As a former minister for energy and later petroleum, you contributed immensely to the development of those sectors and left an indelible mark.
We in the region are not surprised that once again your qualities have shown through your work in parliament and caught the attention of party leadership at the highest level to honour you with this latest appointment. Congratulations Honourable Buah. NDC Western Region is so very proud of you.
