Immediate past Minority Chief Whip, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak has expressed his disappointment to the changes made to the NDC leadership in parliament.[ads2]
A statement dated January 23 and signed by the party’s General-Secretary, Fiifi Kwetey said the NDC has made changes to its leadership in parliament with Dr Cassiel Ato Forson taking over from Haruna Iddrisu as the minority leader.
Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah, MP for Ellembelle in the Western region was also named the deputy minority leader, replacing Ketu North legislator James Avedzi Klutse.
Muntaka Mubarak had his position as the Minority Chief Whip handed over to Adaklu MP, Kwame Agbodza.[ads3]
However, Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Comfort Doyo Ghansah who is the MP for Ada maintained their positions as first and second deputy minority whip.
Since the changes was made official, there has been an unrest in the NDC with some expressing their dissatisfactions.
At a press conference in Parliament on Thursday, Muntaka Mubarak expressed his disappointment by saying, “If you cannot write a letter to appoint, how can you write to disappoint?” He asked at a press conference in Parliament on Thursday.[ads4]
He added “We don’t want to create enmity among us unnecessarily, we believe that the right process should be followed.”
He further stated “if the right process is followed we will be happy and thank them for the opportunity to serve.
“We hope that they will help fast-track the hearing of the issues.”[ads5]
