Two children have been reported dead at Baba Dogo in Bortianor in the Ngleshie Amanfro constituency after Tuesday’s heavy downpour in Accra.[ads2]
According to reports, the building housing the two children and their mother collapsed killing the children.
The mother in a bid to move his two children to safety was unable to do so as rushing water carried the two children away.[ads3]
Some parts of Accra got flooded after a three-hour downpour in the Ghana’s capital on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
Affected areas included Circle, Ogbojo, Shiashi, Kasoa old barrier, Weija, Dansoman, Lapaz all got flooded.
The rains which started around 3:40am made it difficult for pedestrians to get vehicles to their workplaces as major streets in the affected areas were flooded.[ads4]
