The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has said the invasion of Ashaiman, a suburb in Accra by military officers over death of a young soldier was sanctioned by the Military High Command.[ads2]
Personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces stormed Ashaiman and its environs on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in a manhunt for some criminals, who were suspected to have stabbed and killed young soldier, Imoro Sherrif on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Trooper Sherrif who was stationed in Sunyani was found dead in a pool of blood on Saturday, March 4 at Ashaiman in Accra after seeking for a permission to visit his parents in the area where he grew up.[ads3]
