The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the 2024 elections in the first-round with huge margin according to Professor Joshua Alabi who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).[ads2]
According to him, the NDC will return to power with ease only if John Dramani Mahama is voted to lead the party as flagbearer in the 2024 polls.
“We assure you that NDC will win hands down, we are not only going to win hands down but by 1AM we will be sure of our results”, Professor Alabi said this on Tuesday, March 21 after filing the nomination forms on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama at the party’s headquarters to enable him to contest in the flagbearer election
“We are going to work with all the organs to make sure that the next election we give the party one-touch victory,” he added.[ads3]
Meanwhile, Mr Mahama’s main competitor for the NDC flagbearership position, Dr Kwabena Duffuor will file for nomination on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
Dr Duffuor should have file for his nomination on Wednesday but has been changed to Thursday due to the Party’s true state of the nation address.
“The change in date from Wednesday to Thursday is in response to a request from the National Executive of the party to reschedule, due to the party’s True State of the Nation Address to be delivered by the Chairman, Johnson Aseidu Nketia today, Monday at the UPSA Auditorium at 2pm”, part of the statement signed by Dr Duffuor’s spokesperson Antonio Edem Asinyo and dated March 20, 2023.
