Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, an astute businessman has pulled out of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearership race.[ads2]
The modern sewage system specialist has pulled out of the race after submitting his letter to the NDC’s elections committee on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Prior to picking his nomination forms, Kobeah who hails from Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region was confident of defeating all candidates including the former President John Dramani Mahama.[ads3]
As to why he has pulled out of the race is not immediately known but his vetting on Tuesday was suspended and was expected to continue today.
“There is no issue,” he told journalists after the process was put on hold.[ads4]
“Just [that] I need to come back tomorrow [Wednesday]. Everything is fine and successful.”
Meanwhile, former President John Dramani Mahama, former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffour and former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu have been cleared to contest in the NDC’s May 13 primaries.[ads5]
