AFC Bournemouth forward, Antoine Semenyo has said he want to be like former Ghana international Asamoah Gyan.
Asamoah Gyan, regarded as one of the deadly strikers Ghana has ever produced to the football world, remains Ghana’s all-time leading topscorer with 51 goals after 109 appearances.
The former Sunderland attacker last played for Ghana in 2019 after leading the Black Stars to several semi-finals and a couple of finals in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Asamoah Gyan played a crucial role when Ghana reached the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, scoring three goals including a super finish in the round of 16 against the United States of America.
Since his exit from the Black Stars, Ghana has struggled to get his replacement despite the arrival of Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams.
With Ghana struggling to find a replacement for Asamoah Gyan, Antoine Semenyo who was impressive in his last outing for the Black Stars believes he could improve and play like Gyan one day.
“I used to watch him when he came to AFCON competitions and the World Cup. He was such a big player and I dream to be exactly like him” Semenyo told GhanaWeb.
