Gertrude Torkornoo, a Justice of the Supreme Court, has been nominated by President Akufo-Addo as the new Chief Justice of the republic.
Her nomination comes following the retirement of Justice Kwasi Anim Yeboah who left service on May 24, 2023 after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70 for justices of the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
