The Management of NK City Nightclub have said the CEO of the Fijai-based nightclub, Nhyiraba Kojo is currently serving his 30 days jail term as pronounced by court.
The budding businessman cum musician was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment by a Sekondi Commercial High Court for contempt in a case filed by four residents of Fijai over noise from the nightclub.
The ‘Yaayi’ composer has been jailed for failing to observe an interlocutory injunction order by the court for him to stop the noise at the nightclub, ensure soundproof installation at the NK City Nightclub and submit a report to the court.

In a statement dated May 1, 2023, the management stated emphatically that Nhyiraba Kojo is a law abiding citizen and currently serving his jail term.
Even though Nhyiraba Kojo is in jail, the management have said the judgement has no way affected the operation of NK City Nightclub.
“We state emphatically to all customers of NK City Nightclub, fans of Nhyiraba Kojo and the good people of Ghana that the judgement has not affected the operation of NK City Taadi”, part of the statement reads.
It continues that “NK City party office is still in operation from Tuesday-Sunday and on public holidays from 8pm-5am. NK City continues to be your best entertainment centre in the Western Region.”
