Renowned Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah has disclosed how music award schemes in Ghana have failed to recognize him for his enormous contributions to the growth of the industry.
Popularly known as Fredyma, Fred Kyei Mensah who happens to be the CEO of Fredyma Studios has revealed that he has never been honoured by any award scheme after 38 years as music producer.
Speaking on Onua Showtime with Nana Ama McBrown on Onua TV on Sunday, May 21, the former Planning Committee member of Ghana Music Awards said, “I have been producing music for the past 38 years but yet to win an award in Ghana.”
This comes as shocking considering the numerous of musicians that he has produced in his 38 years career as music producer and the roles he has played in the industry.
