Former Ghana youth star, Abeiku Quansah has attributed the country’s failure of making it to youth tournaments recently as laziness on the part of most young footballers.
According to the former Windy Professionals winger, most young footballers nowadays are more attached to social lives than focusing on their career.
Speaking to Kyfilla.com, Abeiku Quansah who formerly played for OGC Nice said, “Ghana’s inability to qualify for youth tournaments is due to the fact that most young players of today are very lazy, they spend their precious time abusing social media instead of focusing on training.”
He added “Ghana can only recover its lost image in youth tournaments only when these young players change their lifestyle”
Abeiku Quansah was an integral member of the Ghana U-17 team squad that participated in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
He played six matches in the tournament in Korea Republic, and was part of the Black Satellites squad that won for the 2009 African Youth Championship in Rwanda.
