Ghana’s Under-23 Coach, lbrahim Tanko has named a 29 man squad for pre-tournament camping ahead of the African Cup of Nations Under-23 slated for Morocco on June 25, 2023.
The Black Meteors team will depart Accra on Monday, June 12, 2023 for Cairo for two weeks camping and engage in some friendlies before the tournament.
Ghana is paired in Group A alongside host Morocco, Guinea and Congo.
Ghana will begin the tournament with a game against Congo on June 25, before taking on Morocco and Guinea on June 27 and June 30, respectively.
Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford – Yeboah Koniigsdoffer who are part of the Black Stars squad for the AFCON qualifier against Madagascar will join the Black Meteors after the match on June 18, 2023.
Ghana will be looking forward to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament in Paris for the first time in 20 years by finishing among the top 3 countries in the 2023 TotalEnergies U.23 AFCON to be staged in Morocco between June 24 and July 8, 2023
