The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has dismissed Hasaacas Ladies FC’s protest against Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC on Thursday.
The decision has been communicated to both clubs and grounds of appeal is available for today.
Hasaacas Ladies FC filed a protest against Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC after the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final where the later won 4-2 on penalties after the regulation time has ended 1-1.
Hasaacas Ladies’ case was the double identities of players Latifa Abesik/Latifa Abesik and Jennifer Owusuaa/Jennifer Badu.
According to the DC the two clubs were invited on June 1, 2023 where both clubs were heard. However, Afia Kobi Ampem failed to honor the call to show up at the hearing and chose to speak on phone.
Per the excepts of the ruling sighted by kyfilla.com, the DC claims that;
1. Jennifer Owusuaa and Jennifer Badu are different person.
2. Latifa Abesik was registered with fraudulent document by Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies where the player was first registered.
The results of the game stand per the ruling and Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC will be representing Ghana at the upcoming West Africa Football Union Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
