Sampson Eduku has communicated his decision to leave Tamale City to the team’s hierarchy on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 kyfilla.com can exclusively confirm.
The forward has made his intentions known following the Club’s relegation to the Division One League after the 2022/2023 football season.
Tamale City FC finished the season with 32 points and finished 15th on the league log and three points adrift of safety.
The Tamale-based side qualified to the topflight in the 2021/2022 season after winning the Division One League playoffs due to Ashantigold Sporting Club’s demotion from the topflight.
Sampson Eduku joined Tamale City halfway through the first round of the Betpawa Premier League and ended the season as the Club’s topscorer with 14 goals.
Checks by Kyfilla.com reveal Medeama SC, Hearts of Oak and several other clubs have made formal approach for the ex-Karela United, Sekondi Hasaacas FC and Sekondi Eleven Wise attacker.
Sampson Eduku has had stints with Elmina Sharks and FC Samartex 1996 in the past.
It is now clear Sampson Eduku will not be playing for Tamale City in the 2023/2024 football season.
