Ernest Nuamah has assured the game against Guinea is a must win as Ghana’s Black Meteors look to salvage their way back to contending for the U23 title after a sloppy display against Morocco last Tuesday.
The Coach Ibrahim Tanko side following an opening day 3-2 win against Congo fell heavily against host Morocco in a humiliating 5-1 which intend means the final Group A encounter against Guinea should be a must win.

Prior to the competition, the team had such high expectations, but after two games, they had experienced peaks and valleys as they had beaten Congo and lost to Morocco, respectively.
There were speculations that the side will receive a significant personnel boost from the senior national team before the event.
Ernest Nuamah, a player with the Black Meteors who recently debuted in the senior national team is present in the team’s setup and got the team’s tournament opening goal against Congo.

In preparation for the next match against Guinea which is a must win game for the Black Meteors to advance to the next stage of the U-23 AFCON, Nuamah made the following declaration to the Ghana FA Media – “the game versus Guinea is very important because we know if we don’t win, we don’t qualify. We are really coming in for it.”
Nuamah has been named FC Nordsjaelland and the Danish League Player of the 2022/2023 season.
