The Board of Dawu-based football club Dreams Fc has confirmed in an official statement that the Club will represent Ghana in the next Confederation of African Football Confederation Cup.
This comes after the Club won the MTN FA Cup by beating King Faisal FC 2-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex. Dreams FC for the first time in the history of the Club will be in an African inter-club competition.
In a press release the club states – “in it’s recent deliberations with management, the Board Of Dreams Football Club is pleased to announce the decision to compete in the CAF confederations cup.
The club is eligible to play in Africa’s second tier club competition following its historic feat in the MTN FA Cup. Dreams FC have already applied for and duly issued the license by the instant body to make its first ever appearance in an African club competition.
Management is already working assiduously to present a formidable side for this task and now awaits the draw for the first preliminary round,expected in August”.
The club qualified to the BetPawa Premier League in 2015 after emerging winners of Zone 3 in the Division One League and they seek to make history.
