Accra Hearts of Oak are without a Head Coach following the departure of Serbian gaffer, Slavko Matic last season.
The Ghana Premier League side has yet to appoint a substantive trainer.
Former Ghanaian international Yaw Preko is expected to replace Annor Walker. Walker has rejoined rival Great Olympics ahead of the start of the upcoming season. He told Hearts of Oak that they were not serious about appointing another coach.
Preko admitted he was prepared for the job. He would accept it if there were an official contact. The former Medeama SC coach said, “I haven’t heard anything. Nobody has contacted me.”
“I am ready because it is my job. You should ask about what is good for him when someone calls you for a job. If you can deliver, accept it, but move on if you can’t deliver,” he told Ghanasportspage.
