The Ghana Football Association’s 29th Ordinary Annual Congress has approved the suspension of Ashantigold Sporting Club’s suspension with a total of 67 votes from congressmen.
A motion moved by Ameenu Shadow, the General Manager of Dreams FC to suspend Ashantigold Sporting Club was heavily rebutted by King Faisal owner, Alhaji Grunsah leaving a cast of vote to determine the fate of the Obuasi-based side.
Grunsah argued that the football laws supersedes that of the Executive Council and therefore those there has the power to amend the earlier decision made by the Executive Council.

The total votes for amounted to 67 compared to votes against which was a minimal 17.

Ashantigold Sporting Club was recused from competing in football by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association for dealing with the Frimpong who were then banned from football due to the match fixing scandal that was established in their 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League game against Inter Allies.
