The GH50,000 nomination fee for aspirants interested in contesting as presidential candidates of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been approved.
The colossal 900 percent increment from GH5,000 in the last election to GH50,000 for the nomination of presidential candidates at the Elective Congress to be held in October. This increment was approved at the 29th Ordinary Session of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in Kumasi on Monday.
The Elections Committee of the GFA proposed an increase in presidential and other fees to cover election administration costs.

The decision to increase the nomination fee for the Executive Council was also confirmed, with the fee increasing from GH2,500 to GH15,000.
So far, only Kojo Yankah and George Afriyie have declared their presidential candidacy intentions.
