Gladson Awako has mutually parted ways with Ghanaian powerhouse Accra Hearts of Oak.
Both parties have decided to split ways prior to the start of the 2023–24 season, even though he still has one year left on his current deal.
He was transferred from city rivals Great Olympics to the Phobians in August 2021, signing a three-year contract.
Awako became a crucial part of the Phobians, helping the team win the FA Cup and the President Cup, among other titles.
After Fatawu Mohammed left the team, the seasoned midfielder was chosen as the team’s captain.
Awako, who played sparingly last season owing to injury setbacks, is expected to find a new club before to the start of the new season.
