The Officials from the Office of the Special Prosecutor who were tasked with the search of the residence of former Sanitation and Natural Resources Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah have found a lot more cash according to a report on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah resigned from the position as the Sanitation and Natural Resources Minister following an alleged huge sums of money found in her possession which was stolen by her house help.
A sum of $1,000,000.00, €300,000.00, some figures in the local currency in addition to jeweleries and other belongings have been reported to have gone missing at the apartment of the former Minister.
Subsequently, the Office of the Special Prosecutor placed Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah under house arrest and granted her bail on Tuesday morning all in effort to ascertain the facts of the matter.
In a new development carried by TV3 Ghana’s Eric Mawuena Egbeta on the station’s Midday Live ongoing investigations by the Office of the Special Prosecutor has revealed more cash was discovered in the home of the former sanitation and water resources minister, Cecilia Dapaah.
The Reporter, Eric Egbeta added that the sums took the officials more than five hours to count the money.
Furthermore, the President has announced through the Communication Ministry that Honorable Freda Prempeh will now control the Sanitation and Natural Resources Ministry.
