Takoradi Technical University has announced the launch of its first Annual Sports awards, which will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at FAAT Conference Hall.
The launch will take place in the FAAT Conference Room at 2:30 p.m. The theme for the launch is “Recognizing Excellence in Sports at Takoradi Technical University and Beyond”.
August 5, 2023 is set for the main event to be held at the School’s Auditorium.
The event aims to celebrate and recognize the exceptional achievements and contributions made by individuals and teams within the university community in the field of sports.

This maiden Annual Sports Awards intends to honor athletes, coaches, and staff members who have demonstrated outstanding performance, sportsmanship, and dedication in their respective disciplines. It will also acknowledge the unwavering support and commitment of external entities in fostering a culture of excellence in sports at Takoradi Technical University.

TTU’s participation in various sports events is commendable, showcasing the university’s commitment to athletic excellence. The Annual Sports Awards will serve as a platform to celebrate and honor the dedication, diligent work, and achievements of athletes, coaches, and support staff. This was particularly true at the last Ghana Technical University Games in Tamale.
The event will feature various award categories, including the prestigious Personality of the Year (Men and Women), Team of the Year, Athlete of the Year, Footballer of the Year, Basketball Player of the Year, and many more.
