Black Stars goalkeeper, Jojo Wollacott sustained a 19 minute injury on Thursday, August 3, as Scotland side, Hibernian recorded a 6-1 win over Andorra’s Inter Escalades.
Maksymillan Boruc replaced the Ghanaian shot-stopper on the 19 minute mark when the Scottish topflight side led 1-0. They went further to instill a 6-1 painful defeat on their opponents to bring the aggregate score to 7-3.
Wollacott missed the world cup in Qatar last year due to a finger injury and returned in a 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth last month. Against Blackpool which ended 3-0 in the English side’s favor.
The extent of the injury remains unknown as at time putting this together. Hibernian will play Luzern of Switzerland next on August 10 and 17 respectively.
