The Headmaster who allegedly embezzled the registration fee of Buduatta final-year students for the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has confessed.
On Monday, August 7, 2023, the JHS final-year students of Buduatta Junior High School in the Gomoa East District were left disappointed by their Headmaster. This was after he embezzled BECE candidates’ registration fees.
The students could not find their index numbers at the examination center where they were supposed to write their papers. This was when they got to the examination center.
According to the Headmaster, when they paid the registration fees, he had a small family issue to resolve, so he used the money.
“I had a small family issue, so I used the money to take care of it; this is the reason I didn’t register some of my students”.
Several months ago, they paid their registration fee, so they thought they’d registered.
They got to the exam center only to be told their names were not registered.
