The Season II of the HD+ Kids Armwrestling Western Region Challenge came off on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Archbishop Porter Girls SHS, Takoradi of the Western Region, Ghana and saw amazing displays.
The event which witnessed some wonderful performance from Takoradi-based Musician, Sally M and Movie Producer cum Actor Kobby Rana brought people from some selected Senior High Schools and individuals within the Sekondi-Takoradi and its environs was full of some interesting and trilling encounters among the competitors in both male and female categories.
The HD+ Kids Armwrestling Season II which has already been held in Accra, Kumasi, Brong and the Eastern Region will serve as a platform for the Ghana Armwrestling Federation to unearth talent from the grassroots through our schools and various communities for the Ghana National Armwrestling team .
Speaking to the media after the event , the President of Ghana and Africa Armwrestling Federation, Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, who is the brain behind this wonderful initiate said ,
“I’m really impressed with the attendance and level of competition from all the various participants”
“Let me take this opportunity to thank the school authorities at Archbishop Porter Girls SHS for granting us the audience to stayed the event here in their school for the second time running; l’m grateful for their show of support”
