Alhassan Abdul-Rauf, a young promising and skilled juvenile player for Soccer Heroes Fc in Bole, has been admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment after being violently battered by his father who dragged him from the playing field.
Alhassan Abdul-Rauf is a soccer player who is under 13 years old.
According to an eyewitness,the incident occurred on August 13, 2023, at Kurabaso Park in Bole during a league game between his team, Bole Soccer Heroes fc, and Bole Peace fc.
Abdul- Rauf was asked by his father to stop playing, and the young boy complied, but the father then began slapping, beating, lifting, and throwing the young player to the ground, the eye witness further recounts.

While many nearby hurried to save the boy, the boy’s angry father continued to attack him, and the boy eventually passed out.
The father continued to beat the young player while claiming that it was his son and that no one should dare stop him from doing so, not even the presence of some elders stopped him.
The boy was then brought unconscious to the Bole District hospital, where the on-duty nurses treated him right away.

After gaining consciousness the young player Alhassan Abdul- Rauf disclosed that all of that happened because his father wanted him to be going to ‘Mankaranta’ instead of playing football.
The Bole District football community hopes that the Ghana Football Association and human rights organizations take up this case.
