Medeama Sc President Moses Armah says he is pleased with the recruitment of the club prior to the start of his team’s CAF Champions League campaign.
After winning the Ghana Premier League, the Yellow and Mauves are representing Ghana in the top competition in Africa and the club’s President believes that the team is ready for the challenge ahead.
“We’ve been able to bolster our squad for Africa. So far, we’ve signed Osah Bernardino, Emmanuel Cudjoe, Kudakwashe Mahachi and others. We’ve invested a lot in our recruitment and I believe we have strengthened the team to the level of Africa” he said.
The Tarkwa-based club has returned to Africa after a seven-year absence and its financial backer is certain that they have strengthened their team sufficiently to compete.

They last competed in an African inter-club competition in the CAF Confederations Cup in 2016, when they won the FA Cup to represent Ghana. After defeating South African powerhouses Mamelodi Sundowns and they were able to advance to the group stages.
On Sunday, August 20, Medeama will play Nigerian team Remo Stars, with the return leg taking place in Ogun State a week later.
Medeama has currently launched an “operation fill the Cape Coast Stadium”campaign in order to help the playing body get the much needed results on Sunday.
