Daniel Ogunmodede, Head Coach of Remo Stars has signaled a straight warning to his players that they must prevent their opponent Medeama Sporting Club from getting a goal in their game today at the Remo Stadium if they are to qualify to the next stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Nigerian side will host the Champions of Ghana on Sunday August 27, 2023 at the Remo Stadium in Sagamu in the second leg first Preliminary round of the 2023/24 Caf Champions League.
Medeama sc won the first leg 1:0 courtesy a 22nd minute goal by Striker Jonathan Sowah at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium .
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Daniel Ogunmodede disclosed;
“Our first target is to qualify to the next round and we know qualifying to the next round we must stop them from scoring and we should be able to score at least two goals “
“ln Ghana we played very well but ended up losing the game so here in Nigeria we’re not looking at dominating possession but our plan is to get at least two goals so we can qualify “
The winner of this fixture will play Horoya AC of Guinea for a place in the group stage of this years Caf Champions League.
