The President has in a press release confirmed the sack of Mr. Boakye Agyarko an the Energy Minister.
The press release however stated that Minister for lands and Natural Resources, Mr. Peter John Amewu will act as the new Minister for Energy on the interim.
“The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, has, by letter, dated 6th August, 2018, relieved the Minister for Energy, Mr. Boakye Agyarko, of his position, with immediate effect”.
“President Akuffo -Addo has asked Mr. Boakye Agyarko to hand over his office to the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr. John Peter Amewu, who will act temporarily an Minister for Energy, until substantive appointment is made”.
“The President wishes Mr. Boakye Agyarko well in all his future endeavors” The Press Release indicated
