Jonathan Sowah sold a promising performance in his debut Black Stars game against the Lone Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
The Medeama Sporting Club forward saw ten minutes of the full duration replacing Baba Iddrisu and earned applause from the fans despite the cameo appearance.
Ghana emerged victorious in the friendly encounter with goals coming from Ernest Nuamah, Mohammed Kudus and Jordan Ayew with a late consolation goal from the Liberian side.

Sowah, 24, is currently on three goals in three games this season for Medeama Sporting Club. The forward scored the only goal when Medeama defeated Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium and again scored twice to see Medeama lift the GFA Super Cup with a 2-1 win against Dreams FC.
The Attacker’s impressive display caught the attention of the Black Stars trainers his display could be earning him more game time in future encounters.
Sowah and Fatawu will be reverting to Medeama’s camp to aid in the preparation ahead of the first leg encounter against Horoya Sporting Club in the final phase of qualifiers to the CAF Champions League group stage.
