Martin Koopman, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, has stated that he intends to implement a Dutch football system at the team.
Before the 2023/24 football season began, Koopman’s appointment as the new manager for Accra Hearts Of Oak was officially announced.
After losing to RTU 1-0, Hearts of Oak defeated Nsoatreman FC 1-0 on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium to earn their first victory of the season.
Ramos Kashala scored the game’s lone goal.
After the game, Koopman discussed with the press his preferred style of play for his team.
“We want to play like Holland, attacking football and that must be possible and if you have to see the whole team this week, they are a little bit down,” he told StarTimes after the game.
“Because if you play your pre-season like that we did and you expect the next three points, it’s not going to happen.
“So I must put them on their legs again and give them the good feeling and I see that they stand up and they gave the first three points,”he said.
Bofoakwa Tano will host Hearts of Oak on Saturday in matchday three at Sunyani Coronation Park. Kickoff is set for 3:00pm
