A businessman has accused popular singer Davido of violating the terms of his agreement after allegedly paying him N218 million to influence a project aimed at children, according to gistlover.com
The man known on Instagram as Abusalami said the artist refused to refund the money and was bullied by the musician’s lawyer and boys. He paid the artist N218 million out of the N326 million project, according to a lengthy statement he provided on his Instagram page.
He revealed that there was a plan for him to travel to 20 different states with a production team of 11 people to look for promising young players, but the singer canceled it. He said Davido’s cancellation cost him N42 million.
He went on to say that he begged the artist to upload the ad, and he ended up doing it in his backyard because he couldn’t do it in a stadium, but the musician refused.
Abusalami also shared screenshots of her alleged conversation with Davido to substantiate her claim. An excerpt from his message said,
“In my prayers every day, all I pray for is the strength to survive David and his lawyer. But God saved me from
this nightmare situation full of jealousy, envy, greed, hate, deceitful people, and thieves. So when you see me post, do not pity me; instead, pray for me.
Depression is real; many men would have been suicidal, but I think of the kids in camp who look up to me for strength, for food, for guidance, and to help them with a career in football. How do you explain to anyone that you paid Davido $218 million to influence a project for kids, and he takes the money, runs away, and tells you to do your worst?
