The Accra Court has released verdict on Gifty Gyan ex-wife of former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan and their divorce brouhaha.
The legal battle ensued after Asamoah Gyan filed for divorce, denying paternity of their three children and requesting a DNA test. However, the DNA results confirmed that all the children are indeed the legendary footballer’s.
The court awarded her properties, already gifted by Asamoah Gyan and ordered him to pay GH¢ 25,000 monthly as child support, acknowledging him as the father of their three children and the amount exclude school tuition, medical and dental treatment, flight or other child care expenses.

The judgment is based on Gifty’s deception about her previous marriage. She had reportedly not broken off her previous marriage to a certain Eugene Odame Antwi, before she got wedded by the footballer, but deceived him into thinking she was single.
The court denied Gifty’s $1 million alimony claim, rejected her bid for a share in Gyan’s businesses and dismissed her claims on certain properties.
The High Court in Accra granted properties to Gifty Gyan, the former spouse of former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan.These properties include a house in the United Kingdom, a four-bedroom house in Spintex, Accra, a filling station, and two cars.
Asamoah Gyan reacted to the court ruling via a tweet describing his ex-wife as for seeking public sympathy.
