The mother of Liverpool star Luis Diaz, Cilenis Marulanda, has been seen publicly for the first time since her kidnapping after leading a march to demand the release of his father, Luis Manuel Diaz.
Both of the Liverpool star’s parents were kidnapped near their home in the La Guajira region of Colombia on Saturday.
His father remains kidnapped; however, Colombia’s police and military forces are working together as they endeavor to bring him home safely.
Separate posters were also held up during the march, reading ‘No kidnappings, freedom to Manuel’ as hundreds demanded his safe release.
Army commandos have guarded the borders in an attempt to prevent Diaz Snr from being taken to neighboring Venezuela.
