Two Scottish giants, Celtic and Rangers, have emerged as favorites to sign Ghanaian international Nathaniel Adjei.
The 21-year-old rising Hammarby star has reportedly been scouted by Rangers, with Celtic also said to be keeping tabs on the center-back.
Adjei is having a breakthrough season in Sweden, having been promoted to the first team by boss Marti Cifuentes before he left for Queens Park Rangers.
He made his European debut in the Europa Conference League and looks to have attracted many suitors with his impressive displays in the Swedish Allsvenskan this season.
According to Sky Sports, Rangers have been quick off the mark as they consider making a move to bring Adjei to the Scottish Premiership with “a representative watching the player in person last month,” while their Glasgow rivals Celtic are “monitoring” the defender’s situation at Hammarby.
Teams in Belgium and Italy have also shown interest in Adjei, who faces a big decision when the Swedish league campaign ends later in November. He is tied to the Swedish outfit until July 14, 2026.
