Reigning Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies will take on Morocco’s AS FAR in their opening group stage game today at the Stade de Laurent Pokou in San Pedro.
The game is set to kick-off at 5pm local time.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies are in group B with As Mande, Hurricanes FC, and Moroccan powerhouse As Far.
Ampem Darkoa are the only Ghanaian team after Hasaacas Ladies to participate in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
In the build-up to the game,Head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwa says his side will beat AS FAR Ladies with their eyes on the ultimate.
“We came here purposely for the cup. Our preparation is going on very well so we are ready for the tournament.We have two teams who have national team players so it is going to be a tough game.
“We are going to work towards that and see how we are going to approach the game in our training. In Sha Allah, definitely we are going to win the match.”he said.
Ampem Darkoa are looking forward to become the first Ghanaian Women’s team to win the CAF Women’s Champions League.
