Assistant coach of Dreams FC, Wilfred Dormon has praised his team for defeating Asante Kotoko in a thrilling match at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 9 of the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League.
Asante Kotoko has become a shadow of themselves as they have endured an unforgettable season so far. Though the league is in its early stages, it seems things are not clicking for the Porcupine Warriors.
Dreams FC midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah scored the only goal in the 40th minute to inflict a painful defeat on Kotoko in their backyard. After the game, the Dreams assistant manager didn’t hide his feelings as he showered his team with praise. He said,
“I think it was very very difficult. I must be very honest well stretched tactically astute game it was a game we had to manage the moment with the ball and without the ball.”
“The first 15 minutes of the first half we were in absolute control John Antwi tested the goalkeeper that lad pulled some amazing save.
“Then Kotoko took over the second 15 minutes they also tested our goalkeeper the defense was very stable then the last 15 minutes we came again and then we scored from a brilliant set piece. On the whole it was a great performance from the lads.”
