Black Stars Head coach Chris Hughton says Inaki Williams is working hard to to score goals for Ghana and he will soon find his rhythm.
Even though the attacker is playing well for Athletic Club, he finds it difficult to make an impression when called up for a national team duty.
Coach Chris Hughton has disclosed what works for Athletic Club striker Inaki Williams as he waits for the striker to get his maiden goal for the Black Stars.
Coach Chris Hughton stated during the team’s pre-game news conference that they will put in a lot of effort to make sure Inaki Williams has the opportunities he needs to score.
“What he has at club level is he has rhythm, he plays every game. Generally, he plays on the right side although he is a No. 9. They have the benefit of working with him for every single day and they have done that for a number of years. It is our responsibility, sometimes it can click straight away, and sometimes it can take time. I think with Inaki there is no question of willingness to want to score or want to work hard. We just have to continue to work hard to find the right formula to give him the service that he needs,”Chris Hughton explained.
Ghana will host Madagascar today, November 17, in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The game will kickoff at 4pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
