GFA Executive Council Member Frederick Acheampong has denied claims of collecting money from Ransford Osei in order to be handed a call up in the Black Stars.
In a radio interview, Ransford Osei said prior to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Frederick Acheampong asked him for a sum of money to ensure he gains favour to get a place in the Black Stars squad for the tournament.He added that although he paid the money to Frederick Acheampong, the football administrator spent the money himself and never fulfilled his promise.
However, in response to former footballer Ransford Osei’s claim, Frederick Acheampong says the claims are false and malicious.Frederick Acheampong further challenged Ransford Osei to provide an evidence if the payment $20,000 he accused Mr. Acheampong of.
According to Mr.Achee if Ransford Osei fails to provide an evidence to support his claims he will take a legal action against him to clear his name.He also urged the former footballer to stop blaming his career failures on him.
