Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu is set to join Stade Rennais FC after they reached an agreement with Clermont Foot.
The sum involved is reportedly €11 million plus bonuses, according to multiple media sources.
Clermont Foot reached an agreement with Rennes after rejecting three previous bids.
Rennes first offered €8 million, which was rejected. Their subsequent offers of €9.5 million and €10.5 million were then turned down as well. Eventually, their fourth approach was approved, and an official announcement is about to be made.
There are rumors that, before the agreement between the two sides, Alidu had already negotiated personal terms with Rennes. All of this is expected to be formalized upon his return from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
