Finally, media personality Haruna Babaginda has spoken out about why he left Takoradi-based radio station Azayfm after barely months of employment.
After withdrawing his services from YFM, the popular reggae presenter proceeded to the aforementioned radio station for an undisclosed reason.
In Sekondi-Takoradi, he has been one of the most sought-after radio personalities. Storytelling, history, and spotlighting legendary African musicians are all aspects of his presentation approach.
In a post on Facebook, Haruna restated his claims that he had no animosity toward any of his previous radio outfits, and he left Azayfm with mutual consent—a reason he cannot discuss publicly—and that he has no desire to publicly share Empire 102.7 FM’s spotlight with any other media outlet.

Those of you interested in why I left my former station in barely 3months of joining, I see and read all your questions/demand for reasons in my comment boxes and inbox. No disrespect, I just choose to ignore because I don’t want to share Empire 102.7 FM ‘s spotlight with any other media house at the moment, neither do I want to put my former station in bad light (no matter how short my stint with them was).
Some of you by merit I owe you the very explanation you’re craving for, because of how long you’ve been following me.
Some of you have shared with me rumours and speculations to trigger an explanation, but those of you who know me better know I am not a fan of jumping from one station to the other. I am a loyal breed by default, but my loyalty is to my principles first, and I left based on principles.
I owe you all a memoir. One day I’ll tell you all my full story, but until then, the story continues, with a piece to be shared tonight on Empire 102.7 FM ‘s midweek ShowBiz Today.
Raphael Larbi, sorry if I was harsh with my reaction to your persistence.
