Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston, has stated that he is ready and willing to take on the coaching position for the Black Stars.
Following Chris Hughton’s departure due to the senior national team’s underwhelming performance at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the Ghana Football Association is actively looking for a replacement coach.
In reaction, the Football Association’s Executive Council has formed a five-person committee to appoint a qualified coach.
Kingston has stated that he is prepared to assume the role of Black Stars coach. He highlighted his readiness for the position by stressing his acquaintance with the requirements and standards connected to elite coaching.
In his capacity as the Black Starlets’ assistant head coach at the moment, Kingston offers insightful knowledge about Ghanaian football.
“Of course, I will accept and do it easy. I know the level at which I am now,” -Regarding his readiness to lead the Black Stars as coach, Kingston spoke with assurance.
