During the second Akwasidae celebration of the year on February 18, 2024, LBO featherweight champion Stanley Nyantakyi gladly gave Monarch Otumfuo Osei Tutu II his title.
Nyantakyi, who was raised in Kumasi, moved to Accra in 2019 when he was eighteen years old to follow his dream of boxing. He joined the Bronx Boxing Gym and was trained by seasoned coach Carl Lokko.
In his first international fight, Nyantakyi, also known as the Asante Warrior, defeated Komlangan Hounkpatin of Togo on February 3, 2024, in Accra, Ghana, to retain the LBO Featherweight title and maintain his undefeated record.
Nyantakyi, accompanied by Osibo Boxing Management and Promotion, his management team, asked for permission to include the second half of his fight in the events scheduled for Otumfuo’s Silver Jubilee in the upcoming months.
Nyantakyi, a proud and staunch Asante, aims to become a world champion. The match will be held in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
