The world football governing body FIFA has dissolved the Executive Committee of the defunct Ghana Football Association.
This comes after a delegation from the government led by Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah met a delegation from FIFA led by its President Gianni Infantino today at the headquarters of the association in Zurich to discuss the way forward of Ghana football.
But after the meeting, both parties have agreed to replace the Executive Committee of the defunct Ghana Football Association with a Normalization Committee.
“FIFA upon consultation with the Government of Ghana and CAF shall establish a normalization committee to replace the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association,” FIFA’s statement read.
“FIFA in consultation with the Government of Ghana and CAF shall appoint persons with integrity and competent to constitute the membership of the normalization committee.”
