Today, March 7, 2024, has been designated as a holiday for all basic schools by the Ghana Education Service.
To celebrate Ghana’s 67th Independence Day event, a large number of students from basic and second-cycle institutions around the nation marched in their respective regions and districts.
Several additional students participated in poetry recitals and cultural acts in addition to the marches.
The 6th of March Independence Day celebrations have long been a source of pride for the students and participating schools.
The GES deemed it appropriate to give students a day to rest after the independence celebrations. However school resumes tomorrow Friday, March 8 2024 for basic and second-cycle institutions.
