The Black Stars of Ghana lost 2-1 to Nigeria at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco I’m a friendly game.
The game was a fairly balanced one as Ghana had a slight possession advantage of 51 percent however, it was the Nigerians who had most goal attempts (12) and made the best out of them.
Nigeria took the lead with a penalty kick from Cyriel Dessers on the 39th minute of the game. The Black Stars made attempts to get back on level in the first half but all attempts proved futile.
In the second half head Coach subbed off Patrick Kpozo and Baba Iddrisu for Tariq Lamptey and Ebenezer Annan.
22 minutes into the second half, Jerome Opoku was shown the red card for a bad tackle and Ghana had to battle on with 10 men.
However the Black Stars of Ghana were able to manage the game until the 86th minute where Nigerian substitute Ademola Lookman doubled their lead.
In a dramatic end to the game, Ghana earned a penalty and Jordan Ayew converted it to make the scoreline 2-1. The scoreline stayed the same until the final whistle.
Head Coach Otto Addo will have to put things in place to see the Black Stars get back on track in his second stint.
